FAQ
HUMANA Second Hand always recommend hand washing and / or dry cleaning if it is stated as washing thread on all garments. If you’re unsure how to wash the product, please send us a mail and we will guide you.
1. AIR IT OUT: Wash less and air more! This way you save both your wardrobe and the environment! Airing removes odor and ventilation in humid weather makes the garment feel freshly washed again. Too much washing wears out the clothes and causes them to break faster.
2. FREEZE IT: Throw the jeans, bag or shoes in the freezer for a few hours or overnight. It removes both odors and bacteria.
3. FRAGRANCE: Use lavender bags or pieces of cardboard sprayed with your favorite perfume and put in the closet and all your favorites will smell magic.
4. LINE DRY: Tumble dry distresses the fabric and makes the clothes wear out much faster.
5. IRON: Ironing garments flattens and smoothes the fabric's fibers. A smoother surface means that the dirt does not stick as easily as when it is wrinkled and you also avoid pilling.
6. THE SHOWER: Hang the garment on a hanger in the bathroom when you go and shower. The steam from a hot shower works wonders for wrinkled garments.
7. SKIP FABRIC SOFTENER: Fabric softener is actually only an unnecessary chemical witch distresses the fabric and makes the clothes wear out much faster.
8. WAX ON WAX OFF: Regular use of leather conditioner keeps the leather soft, the moisture away and extends the life of both garments, shoes and bags.
With the help of close contact and close cooperation with our sorting centers in Europe, we can quickly update and add new styles and trends to the stores' clothing range. We want to make it easy for you to follow the latest trends, avoid consuming newly produced fashion and thus contribute to a more sustainable future. We always try to be one step ahead to be able to offer something our customers did not even know they needed mixed with clear "must haves" from the current and upcoming season.
Our business is entirely based on collecting and selling donated products, where the main part comes from private individuals. HUMANA Second Hand is part of a global network where all member countries collect clothes all around the world, in the same manner as HUMANA Sverige. The collected clothes are then being sent to sorting centers within our Europe network, which we have regular contact with. We are very selective with the products that we gather for our stores and our range is updated several times a year, thereby offering our customers hand-picked garments and items.
